Prototype penny coin art locket

At spend it or wear it we like to try and create different items from using only coins , it becomes quite a challenge to come up with some ideas sometimes , we came up with an idea of creating a locket for storing in photos , locks of hair etc , this could also include selecting certain dates for the coins to give it that much more special touch and an unusual unique coin gift.

Creating a locket has become quite a challenge and is work in progress , I would like to share the first prototype we came up with, not perfect but it's a start and we have already started on creating the second prototype, on this piece of coin jewellery we used just a basic loop to attach a chain , on the final product it will include a fixed bail.
